We love travelling Spain. And being Spaniards, of course we love eating our food too! Come and join our trips across our stunning country and let us show you some of its beautiful hidden corners whilst we introduce you to some of our favourite people. Find out about our food and how we produce it. Master how to cook it and most importantly, learn how to enjoy it as much as we do.
Spain is a wonderful country. And a complex one too. To fully make sense of it, it is first necessary to acknowledge what is perhaps its most precious cultural treasure… its great diversity.
This is a nation of contrasts. Crossing the country will take you from the snowed majestic mountains of the Pyrenees to the turquoise waters of the tiny coves in the Mediterranean islands. Along the way, you’ll be able to visit the ancient forests of Irati, the volcanic moonscapes of Timanfaya or the breathtaking marshes of Doñana. It’s not easy to find a landscape, any landscape, that is not somehow represented somewhere along the Spanish orography.
But the contrasts here are not limited to geography only. Many Spanish people often refer to Spain not as one country, but as the combination of many different regions, each one with its very own cultural identity, its own traditions and of course, its own regional cuisine.
And that’s where we’d love to focus. In the food. Having such a great geographical, historical and cultural diversity means that Spain enjoys one of the most interesting gastronomies in the world. Most things here can be lived or understood through the lens of food. It is such a fascinating cultural root that it deserves to be explored properly.

Hola! We are Lara and Eduardo, a young Spanish couple living and working in London.
We love food. Not only Spanish food but all sorts of food. We love picking it, then cooking it, then eating it.
We believe food brings people closer together. The more we know, the closer we get.
We love simple food, sophisticated food, traditional food, modern food, food that is spicy, sweet, pickled… we love vegetarian food as much as a good steak. We love healthy food but won’t say no to the most indulgent food…
We believe food is great and we love it all.
Oh, and we also love traveling.
That’s why we created HolaFoodie. To combine our two passions into one single project. To share with you an insider view about a country and a gastronomy we love.
